Peacefully surrounded by his family Italo passed at St. Peter’s Hospital on Tuesday August 26, 2025 in his 78th year. Predeceased by his parents Settimio and Ada Salvatore. Dear brother and brother in law of the late Gemma (the late Cesare) Silvestri, Lea (the late Frank) Silvestri and Mario (Martha) Salvatore. Lovingly remembered by his long time friend Katerina. Loving uncle of Itala (Giulio), Settimio (Julie), Elena, Paul (Lisa), Carlo (Lucy), Dan (Tina), Sandra (Ed), Anthony (Kassia) and Chiara. Italo will be sadly missed by many great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends in Canada and Italy.Italo was a retired master electrician and was a long time employee of Grote Electric. He was always ready to lend a hand to family and friends to help fix anything from automotives to household renovations. Italo was an avid Hamilton Tiger Cats fan. A long time parishioner and Knights of Columbus member of St. Anthony’s Parish. Italo will be fondly remembered for his love of family gatherings, his skilled dancing, enjoying good food and his unique sense of humour.

As per Italo’s wishes, in lieu of flowers donations to St. Anthony of Padua Parish, St. Peter’s Hospital or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
Visitation will be held at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL (43 Barton St. E.) on Friday August 29, 2025 from 2-4 & 5-7 pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Anthony’s Parish (165 Prospect St. N.) on Saturday August 30, 2025 at 10 am with interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Burlington.
