SAMA, Annamma Rukmini Sama

With heavy hearts and cherished memories, the family of Annamma Rukmini Sama announces her peaceful passing on Wednesday December 31, 2025. Born on September 15, 1941 in Lovu, Lautoka, Fiji, Annamma was one of 4 children and a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose warmth, kindness and gentle spirit touched all who knew her.

She married her beloved husband, Kesta, in Lautoka, Fija in 1957 and came to Canada in 1975, in search of a better future. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter and devotion, creating countless treasured memories with family and friends.

Throughout her life, Annamma was known for her loving, gentle, and generous heart. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and especially spending time with her family.

Annamma is survived by her three children [Sushil (Ram), Vijay, and Rakesh (Sarojini)]; six grandchildren [Ashley, Justin (Jessika), Elysha, Brandon (Jessica), Nathen (Athina), and Cameron]; and two great grandchildren (Eli and Luka). She is preceded in death by her husband, Kesta Sama.

She will be profoundly missed by her loving family and fondly remembered with love and gratitude by all whose lives she touched. Her love, values, and gentle guidance will remain forever in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
