SARGENT, Corinne Elizabeth Sargent

Passed away peacefully at her home on Friday January 23rd, 2026 at the age of 77.
Cherished Mom of Deanna Cumberbatch and her husband David of Oshawa and loving, devoted and proud grandma of Breanna Cumberbatch.

Corinne was predeceased by her husband James Lamb(Sons and their families).

Survived by her nephew James Martin and his wife Janet and children Oakley, Laken and Ava, as well her cousins Theresa Redburn and her husband Mike, Linda Black and the Dwyer family cousins.

Corinne was a devoted member of St. Thomas Anglican church, Whitby (Brooklin) where she wore multiple hats. An active member of her community, she volunteered at the seniors centre and also within her church, faithfully participating at many events and activities.

Corinne would light up a room with her smile, laughter and great spirit. She was warm, kind and loved by all who knew her.

She had a special bond with her puppy Bella who was always by her side. They were two peas in a pod – inseparable! If Corinne wasn’t having a sweet treat, she most definitely had an Iced Cap from Tim Hortons or Iced Chai from Starbucks. Corinne loved gardening and feeding the neighbourly birds.

One of her greatest joys was being a dance grandma, proudly cheering Breanna on at every competition and recital.

Corinne’s infectious laugh and kind spirit will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She will be remembered for her devotion to her family, deep faith and love for all the lives she touched.

Cherished memories will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday January 27 from 4-8 at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, Whitby.

Celebration of life will be held on Wednesday January 28 at 11:00am at St. Thomas Anglican Church, Whitby.
