ŠAULA, Jelica Šaula
November 26, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jelica Saula. After a courageous health battle, Jelica passed peacefully on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 with her family by her side. Beloved wife of 37 years to the late Boris and loving and devoted sister to Bata (Zlata), Stana, Dragan and the late Jovanka and Ilinka (Mirko). Cherished aunt to her many nieces and nephews but especially close to Aleks, Milijana and Saša, her close friends Ana and Milan Stupar and Kumovi Mikovic.
Jelica was a beautiful soul, with much compassion and love for all of those around her. She was a creative individual at heart with a passion for poetry and drawing and many have been touched deeply by her kindness. Words cannot describe the pain we are feeling and the hole that will forever be left in our hearts with her passing but we have comfort in knowing she will now be reunited with her soulmate Boris.
Jelica immigrated from Ruma, Vojvodina (Serbia) in 1971 to Hamilton and was a member of the St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Cathedral (Nash Road) and will be sadly missed by many, including family and friends in Canada and abroad.
Should someone wish to make a donation in her memory the family asks to contribute to St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Cathedral or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada. The family would also like to thank the staff at Clarion Nursing Home for their compassion and care.
A private service with The Very Reverend Father Djuro Samac officiating at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home has taken place with interment following at Eastlawn Cemetery. Notes of sympathy and condolence may be made at www.donaldvbrown.ca
