SAWLOR, Norm Sawlor

Passed away suddenly, at his home in Aylmer, on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. He was 77 years old. Beloved husband of 56 years to Sharon (Milmine). Cherished father to Jeffery (Nancy) of Dorchester, and Gregory (Kim) of Aylmer. Loving Grandpa to Rachel (Benaiah), Laura, Matthew, Raena, Dresden, Trey, Kieran, and Jude. Great-grandpa to Hezekiah. Also survived by sisters Marilyn (Joe) and Joanne (Tom), brothers Steve (Truda), and Paul, sister-in-law Carole (late John), and brothers-in-law Carl (Judy) and Rodger (Peggy), and a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by daughter-in-law Karen (2015).
Norman was born on July 15, 1948 in Hopeville, Ontario to the late Ray (2007) and Marcelle (Giguère)(1961). His father was a minister, so the family moved a lot throughout his childhood. He met and married Sharon in 1969, and they settled and made their home in Aylmer. Norman had an array of careers throughout his life, including truck driver, construction, boat builder, painter, real estate agent, and travelling gospel singer. He loved to learn new things, and was a self-taught talent in a great number of areas. He loved singing and playing the saxophone, reading his Bible, and making people laugh. Some of his favourite memories were times spent on the bus, both on family trips to Florida, and his travels with his band Living Water.

Visitation will be held at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Sunday from 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. A private family service will be held. Donations to the East Elgin Community Assistance Program(Corner Cupboard) would be appreciated. Share memories or condolences at kebbelfuneralhome.com
