SCHAMEHORN , Nina Louise Teskey Schamehorn

TESKEY, Nina Louise (Schamehorn) – Born November 10th, 1929, daughter of John and Violet Jane Schamehorn of Roblin, Ontario, passed away on July 15th, 2025. Wife of the late WJ Woodland and the late Bruce Teskey. Nina loved the Ministry and working in the Church; to travel, music, hockey, shopping and “eating out”, dogs, and her friends. She hated being alone. She had very special respect for the Military, and those who served it in.

Mother of Carol Steele (Allen) and John (Lesley) Woodland. Grandma Gum to grandchildren Melody Grant (Karl), Matthew Steele, David Woodland (Partner Jesse Holland), and JohnRoss Woodland (Katelyn). Great-grandma to Keli Grant (Laura), Kris Grant (Amanda), Mercedes Desrochers (Patrick), Easton Steele, Sophia Woodland, Madison Woodland and Adelyn Woodland, and step-grandmother to CJ McCormick and Caleb McCormick. Great-great-grandma to Oaklee Grant, Navy Grant, Grace Grant, and Beckett Desrochers. Stepmother to Donna Poirier (David) and Carol Fraser and step-grandmother to Cheri Nixon (Charles) and Lisa Fraser (Mark), and step-great-grandmother to Kayla, Hannah, Adam, Josee, Abby and Calvin.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 28th, 2025 from 11 am to 12 noon at the Wartman Funeral Home, Napanee, Ontario with private service and interment at a later time.

Special thanks to the John Parrot Center and staff on behalf of the family for their special care.

Due to severe allergies the family is requesting no flowers, but donations be made to the John Parrot Centre, Napanee, Ontario, in Mom’s name.
