SCHRUDER, Terry Ellard Robert Schruder

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Terry Schruder at the age of 72 on Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025. Terry was the loving father of Kyle (Katelyn) and Chris (Hong), and grandfather to Elizabeth and Makenzie. He is survived by his siblings Murray, Bruce, Ward, and Jackie (Jonathan).

Terry will be greatly missed by all his extended family and friends in the Ottawa Valley and beyond. Born and raised in Augsburg, Terry was the oldest child of the late Ellard Schruder (2013) and Gloria Schruder (née Wolfe, 2018).

At the age of 13, Terry left school to help tend to the family farm. In his early 20s, he worked alongside his uncle at Sullivan’s Construction in Arnprior, and later spent 25 years at Len’s Ltd until the store closed. He then worked with Tom McCann at the lumberyard before returning to help out at the family farm, which always seemed to be a part-time job for him.

Terry was a kind, considerate, and hardworking man who had a talent for fixing just about anything. He loved his family and church community and always put others before himself. He was a friend to all and will be fondly remembered.

Visitation will be held at Zohr Family Funeral Home, Eganville, on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. and 7:00–9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place at Salem Missionary Church, Augsburg, on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment at Salem Missionary Church Cemetery.
