SCHUTT, Helen Faye Schutt

She was born on October 2, 1956, arriving in this world with such determination that she even chased her mother away from cleaning ducks to do so. On Thursday, November 27, 2025, Helen entered into her eternal rest, ending her courageous battle with lung cancer. She flew peacefully to the feet of Jesus with her devoted son and loved ones at her side.

Helen leaves behind her greatest blessing, her son Jonathan, and his partner Karisma; four cherished grandchildren, Kristal, Jayden, Michael, and Grace; and her siblings Ivan (Darlene), Donna (late Frank), Mervin (Connie), June (David), and Bonnie (James) as well as her brother in law Jimmy (Dorothy) and sister in law Eileen. She will also be remembered with love by her 17 nieces and nephews, as well as many great and great-great-nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Earl and Luella (née Mantifel) Schutt; her son Earl Samuel; and her siblings Mildred, Dorothy, Dwyer, and Glen.

Helen was a devoted grandmother, cherishing every moment of the special “grandma days” she spent with her grandchildren. Beyond her family, nursing was her life’s calling. As an RPN, compassion ran through her to her very bones —she cared for each patient with unwavering love, kindness and respect.

Visitation will be held at the Wesleyan Church in Palmer Rapids on Friday, December 5, from 2–4 p.m. and 7–9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at the Wesleyan Church on Saturday, December 6, at 11 a.m. ** Service will be livestreamed via the Community Wesleyan Church Facebook Page Livestream. 

Helen’s legacy of love, dedication, and gentle service will be carried forward by all who were blessed to know her.
