Maria passed away peacefully at Milton District Hospital on Saturday, July 5, 2025, with her loving family by her side.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband Calogero and is the cherished mother of Santina (Tony Graci), Joe, and Ignazio. Maria will be sadly missed by her grandson Charlie and step-grandchildren Sam and Serena. She is survived by her sister Antonia Vizzini (Calogero†) and brother Calogero Sedita. She is also predeceased by sisters Giuseppina and Emaranziana Sedita, and brother Giuseppe Sedita (Carmelina).

Maria is remembered with love by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. She married Calogero in 1962 in Castrofilippo, Sicily, and after living in Germany, the family immigrated to Canada in 1970. Milton became their home for the next 55 years.

She was devoted to her family, sharing her love through traditional Sicilian meals and Italian songs. Maria was gentle, wise, and quietly supportive—always guiding with love.

The family extends sincere thanks to the staff at Friends Landing and the 2 North Regional team at Milton District Hospital for their care and compassion.
