December 18, 1956 - November 26, 2025
SEMPLE, Robert Ernest Semple

Peacefully at Brightshores Health System in Markdale on November 26, 2025 at the age of 68. Loving husband of Nancy. Beloved father of Bobby (Sarah). Much loved brother of Laurie (Dianne), Uvonne (the late Kent) Little, Steven (Debbie). Brother-in-law to Florence (the late John) Pollicino, and Richard Spindler. Predeceased by his parents, Roy and Leona Semple, his brother Barton, his parents-in-law, Arthur and Gladys Spindler and brother-in-laws, Paul and Jimmy. Treasured friend of Queenie and the late Floyd Finley. Much loved uncle of many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all his friends at the Coach House in Markdale.

Lee was born in Collingwood on December 18, 1956 to Roy and Leona, and raised in the Painswick area before moving to London. While he was working at the Maple City Gas company in London, he was introduced, through a unique course of events, to the love of his life, Nancy, to whom he was married to for 49 years. In 1981 they welcomed their son Bobby to the world. The family relocated to Flesherton in 1988 where Lee worked for the Talisman Mountain Resort until 2004. Lee loved all animals, and enjoyed being outdoors, spending summers at the trailer with Nancy. Because of this love, he was a natural fit for Scouts Canada, where he could help others find appreciation for the world around them. He inspired this love in his son Bobby, who he was a very proud father to. He also enjoyed going to the races at the Varney Speedway and watching Nascar. Lee was a gentle soul, a little shy but with a big heart. His life was not without its challenges, yet he met each one with courage and resilience. His absence will be felt deeply by all who loved him.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at Brightshores Health System in Markdale and Owen Sound for their care and support, as well their family Dr, Hernan Boniolo.
Cremation has taken place and an intimate celebration of life will be held for his closest family and friends at Fawcett Funeral Cremation Reception, 1 Highland Drive, Flesherton on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 1pm-3pm. Memories will be shared at 2pm. Please dress casually. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Grey Bruce Animal Shelter would be greatly appreciated.
