NAKAGAWA, Setsuko “Sue” Nakagawa – Born on February 25, 1928, in Cumberland, British Columbia, to Take Nishimura (nee Aomi) and Nobusuke Nishimura, peacefully passed away on October 27, 2023, in Oakville, Ontario, Canada.
Sue was a cherished wife to Ichiro Nakagawa, and her enduring marriage was a testament to the power of love and commitment.
Following her husband’s passing, she continued to touch the lives of those around her.
She is survived by her siblings, Butch (May) and Kazuo (Alyce); and was predeceased by her brother, Frank (Grace), all who held a special place in her heart.
She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, along with their children, who were a source of joy and happiness for her. Sue will be fondly remembered for her of love of arts and crafts, jigsaw puzzles, hamburgers and hair! A career hairstylist, she was still doing hair for friends.
Her kindness, warmth, and the love she shared with her family and friends have left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A memorial service to celebrate Sue’s life will be held on Saturday, November 25th at Glen Oaks Funeral Home in Oakville. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., followed by a service at 11 a.m. with a reception afterwards.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Momiji Health Care Society in memory of Sue.
