RUTHERFORD, Shane  – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shane Rutherford, on August 21, 2023.

He was a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend.

Shane passed peacefully, at home, following a 42-month battle with stage 4 prostate cancer.

He was 58 years old. Born on May 25, 1965.

Shane lived a life filled with passion, achievements, and a zest for adventure.

A successful businessman, he built a business that touched the lives of many and left an indelible mark on his industry.

His dedication and perseverance earned him respect and admiration from colleagues and competitors alike.

Beyond his business success, Shane was an avid sports enthusiast. In his younger years, he excelled as a formidable rugby player, displaying the same tenacity and competitiveness that would later define his professional career.

Shane has requested that there be no public funeral or memorial in Canada.

There will be a small local get-together located in Kingston, Jamaica, announced at a future date.
