With heavy hearts, the Sharp family announces that Bonnie Sharp (née Acton), a resident of Shetland, passed away peacefully at the London Health Sciences Centre, University Campus on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at the age of 66.

Born in Woodstock, Bonnie was the beloved daughter of Jessie (Huctwith) Dobbyn (late Owen) and the late Duncan Acton (1970). Devoted wife of 45 years to Ron Sharp, and loving mother of Marcie Sharp (Jared Leeson), Holly Sharp, and Andy Sharp (Keri). Cherished grandma to Jake, Robin, Gibson, Eddison, and Hudson. Forever adored by her furry companion, Jolene.

Dear sister of Teresa Acton (Gord), Michelle Bidner (Todd), and Kevin Dobbyn (Amy). Predeceased by her brother Joe Acton (1993). She is also remembered fondly by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Bonnie was Ron’s sweetheart since she was 15. They farmed, raised a family, and wintered in Florida together. She was a gifted crafter, card designer, and DIY enthusiast who loved musicals, crocheting, and gardening. She especially loved birdwatching from her riverside view.

A liver transplant recipient in 1995, Bonnie defied the odds and lived nearly 30 more years filled with laughter, family, and love. She adored her children and was their greatest cheerleader, full of humour, pride, and unwavering support.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Bonnie’s Life will be held at the Dawn-Euphemia Community Centre, 6213 Mill St., Florence on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
