SHELLY, Ada Lucinda SHELLY

Formerly of Port Rowan and more recently of Tillsonburg, died Sunday, December 28, 2025 at Maple Manor Nursing Home in her 100th year.
Wife of the late Harry Walter Shelly (1997). Beloved mother of Harry “Russ” Russell Shelly (2011), Randolf “Randy” David William Shelly (2019) & his wife, Laurie (Ionson), Terry Wayne Shelly (1995), and Richard Allan Shelly (2006) & Stella (Dedrick) Walker. Adored by her grandchildren, Rhonda Person, Derek Shelly, Lucinda “Cindy” Shelly, Miranda Blow, Christopher “Chris” Shelly (2025), Dianna Still, Trevor Shelly, and Angela “Angie” Da Costa.

Predeceased by Betty Jean (Allison), former wife of Russ (2019), and Kathleen “Kathy” Gale (Bantam), former wife of Terry Wayne (2024).
Ada was the adopted daughter of the late David Roy Smith (1957) and Hazel Viola White (1987). She married Harry Walter Shelly on September 26, 1944, settling on the farm of Hazel’s parents, Hezekiah Schuyler & Ada (Thompson) White. There, they raised four sons and watched their family grow. It was a happy place that Ada loved dearly.
Ada had been in declining health for some time. She passed away as an ice storm raged throughout Southern Ontario. She is at peace and will finally be reunited with the love of her life and their sons. She will be surrounded by family and friends that have gone before her.
A visitation from 11 am to 1 pm will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026 at the Jeffrey W. Glendinning Funeral Home, 36 Front Road, Port Rowan. Funeral services will follow at 1 pm. Internment will be at the Franklin-Fairview Cemetery, on Second Concession Road, just north of Port Rowan. Please join family and friends for a luncheon at The Royal Canadian Legion in Port Rowan afterwards.
