SHEPPARD, James Leonard Sheppard

Beloved husband, devoted father, and cherished grandfather, passed away peacefully at Strathroy Hospital on January 27th, 2026, in his 77th year.

James is survived by his loving wife, Vickie (née VanGeersdaele) Sheppard, with whom he shared 50 wonderful years of marriage.

He will be deeply missed by his children, Carrie (Ryan) and Crissie (Shawn). James will be missed by his treasured grandchildren Zack, Dom, Abbey, Natalie, Brodie, and Jaxson.

He is also survived by his brother Larry (Peggy); sisters‑in‑law Mary Lou (Garry), Janice (Dennis), Sally, and Sherry; as well as many nieces and nephews.

James was predeceased by his parents, Joyce and Wilfred Sheppard; his mother‑in‑law Evelyn; and his brother‑in‑law John.

He took great joy in spending time with his grandchildren—playing board games, cards, and watching them participate in sports. He also loved settling in to enjoy a good western movie.

In memory of Jim, donations may be made out to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.

Cremation has taken place. Honouring his wishes, a graveside service will be held at a later date
