POWIS, Shirley Powis

POWIS, Shirley  – Died peacefully at home in Toronto, on March 2024.

She is survived and will be greatly missed by her sons Tim (Nora) and Charles (Ellen), as well as her grandchildren Lucy, Laura, Robert, Henry, Isabel and Heather.

She was predeceased by her daughter Nancy, her sister Pamela Dalglish and brother-in-law Roy Dalglish.

The daughter of Robert and Ruth Haldenby, Shirley was born and raised in Montreal.

She moved to Toronto in 1956 but continued to enjoy summers and many Christmases at the family compound in Knowlton, in the Eastern Townships of Quebec.

Many thanks for the wonderful care provided by Gena and her team of PSWs, the nursing staff at Hazelton Place, and the doctors and nurses at the Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care.

A private gathering will be held by the family.
