STOWE , Shirley Stowe (née Ponic)

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on August 9, 2025, at 93 years of age. Shirley was a long-time resident of Woodslee, where she spent 57 wonderful years of marriage with her late husband Kenneth.

Loving mother of Sheila McCann (late Robin), Cindy Stowe, the late baby Kenny (1956), Kurt, Tracy Ames (Leigh), Jason (Kate), and Kelly LaChance (Raymond). Adored grandmother of Dustin, Devin (Brittany), Jodi, Warren (Danielle), Cassie (Pete), Carly, Jake, Skye, Zachary, Colton (Ashley), Tiana (Dillon), Evan, and Tyler. Cherished great-grandmother of Kiara, Owen, Greyson, Emerson, Carter, Kenny, Beatrice, Henry, and Louise.

Predeceased by her parents Frederick and Minnie (née Moore) Ponic, and her in-laws Elmer “Bud” and Beatrice (née Scratch) Stowe. Dear sister of the late Jackie Camp, late Gloria Coatsworth (late Murray), and Nancy York (late Mal), and sister-in-law of the late Walter (late Frances), the late William (late Eileen), the late John (late Etta), and the late Steve (Helen). She will be missed by many nieces and nephews.

Shirley retired from the Government of Canada after 20 years of service. She will always be remembered for the unwavering love she had for her family, and her traditions will live on through her children, grandchildren, and future generations.

Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at Woodslee United Church, 2616 Belle River Rd, South Woodslee, ON, on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 4:00 pm, with dinner to follow.
