SIMMS, John Simms

Passed away suddenly on December 19th, 2025, at the age of 63 years. Born December 26, 1961, John was a lifelong lover of music, particularly rock and roll and the blues. An amateur guitar player and self-taught mechanic, he enjoyed tinkering with instruments and cars in his spare time.
John was dedicated to his work as a driller, taking pride in his strong work ethic. Known for his playful personality, good sense of humor, and kind heart, he never took himself too seriously. He loved spending time at camp on the French River, where he could relax, go for boat rides, and if he was lucky maybe catch a fish.

John was a present and devoted stepfather to his daughter, Jessica Welsh (Paul), and loving husband to his wife Nicole (née Houle) Simms (predeceased). Sister Leslie Watkinson (John), niece Tara Watkinson (Francis) and nephew Billy Watkinson (Megan) and great niece and nephew Drea and Greyson Bailey. Parents Liz Simms and John H Simms (both predeceased). He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or service. A celebration of John’s life is being planned for 2026.
