Peacefully at The Bridge Hospice, Warkworth on Monday December 15th, 2025 in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Harry Simpson. Loving mother of Arthur Simpson (Connie). Cherished grandmother of Ryan Simpson (Jessica Main). Dear sister of Gerry Barrett (the late Gayle), Glen Barrett (Betty Bolduc) and Doug Barrett (Louise). Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may attend a Funeral Service on Saturday December 20th at the MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 11 King St., W., Colborne at 1 pm. with visiting from 12 – 1 pm. Interment Fairview Cemetery in the Spring. If desired donations may be made to The Bridge Hospice, Warkworth. Verna’s family would like to thank the staff of Golden Pond Retirement Residence, Dr. Iris Noland and the staff of The Bridge Hospice for their care and compassion.
