SINCAIR, Heather Marget Roselma Sinclair

Heather passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 30, 2025,Β surrounded by her loving daughters.
She was predeceased by her parents, Edward (Eddie) Sinclair and Roselma Lake Sinclair, and her brothers, Edward Alexander (Sandy) Sinclair and Ian Robert Bruce Sinclair.Β She is survived by her brother Rory (Gus) Sinclair (Mary Newberry), her daughters Jennifer and Pamela Dwyer (Brian Velocci), grandchildren Alexandria (Alex), Brooke, and Piper Velocci, nephews Sean, Patrick, Rory Sinclair, niece Erin Sinclair, and dear friend Margaret Anderson.
Heather grew up in Deep River, Ontario,Β and graduated with a Bachelor of Physical & Health Education, a Bachelor of Education, and a Diploma in Elementary Teacher Education all from the University of Windsor. She went on to teach at Hastings Public School, Maple Grove Public School and then Durham College, Faculty of Law and Security, before retiring to Etobicoke and finally Port Hope.
Heather came from an athletic family and she excelled at volleyball, basketball, track and field, swimming, golf,Β and curling. Her University of Windsor athletic career included basketball and swimming; her 1966-1967 womenβs basketball team being the first to play with βmenβs rules.βΒ She was also active on the womenβs athletic council.
After university, Heather continued to play baseball, soccer, golf, and curling. Some would say her athletic career peaked when she got a hole in oneΒ the summer of 1994.Β She was also part of the leadership team to start the golf team at Durham College.
Heather was active in her community and enjoyed cooking, baking,Β and sharing good food, wine, and conversations with her dear friends. Her laugh was contagious. She enjoyed traveling, singing in the choir, and volunteering with the Northumberland Parkinsonβs group, where she was a significant and impactful volunteer.
She was married to Robert (Bob) Dwyer and had two children Jennifer and Pamela. She was a doting grandmother to her three wonderful granddaughters.
Heather remained active, funny, kind, and buoyant to the end.
