SIRIZZOTTI, Gino Sirizzotti

February 16, 1937 - February 14, 2026
SIRIZZOTTI, Gino Sirizzotti

Passed away at the age of 88 on February 14, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones at Humber River Hospital after a long and difficult winter battling multiple illnesses.

Gino was born on February 16, 1937 in Torrice, Frosinone, Italia, to Orlando Sirizzotti and Anna Viti. He spent his youth working on the family farm, and then driving long haul trucks across Europe. After marrying his sweetheart Elda in 1960, and having two sons, they decided to emigrate to Canada where he continued to work driving trucks for construction.

Gino was a man who made things.  He made homes. He made a family, and he made a lot of messes. He never could stay still, not even when he was sleeping, because he always wanted to be making things or fixing things. If there was nothing to fix, he would break something so he could fix that. It is our hope that he is finally able to rest in peace.

He is survived by his devoted wife Elda, his three sons Mauro, Raniero, and Fausto, and his five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 from 2:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Bernardo Funeral Homes (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.). A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Church (811 Lawrence Ave. W., at Dufferin St.) at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2026.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Gino’s name to the Daily Bread Food Bank, as Nonno Gino’s generous spirit loved to share food with others.
