SISLER, Roy Sisler

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mervyn Roy “Pete” Sisler on December 18, 2025, at the age of 83. Pete was the beloved husband of Betty for 64 wonderful years. Together they built a life filled with love, family, and community.

Pete was a devoted father to Jim (Josie) Sisler and Mary (Ed) Vanden Eynde, and he was predeceased by his son Ian in 1992. He was a proud grandfather to Kaley (Brian) Scott, Jordan (Lindsay) Sisler, Amy (Derek), Jenna, and Claire Vanden Eynde, and a cherished great-grandfather to Griffin and Ryker Scott and Brinley and Boe Sisler.

Pete dedicated much of his life to serving his community. He was a member of the Arkona Fire Department for 30 years and a proud Lion’s Club member for 57 years. His career as an electrician reflected his hardworking nature and commitment to helping others.  That hard work was evident in the business he built.  He started Sisler Electric in 1970 and was especially proud that it is now a thriving third generation family business.

Pete loved his family, hockey, golf, baseball, fishing and Arkona!  He will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering dedication to family and community. He leaves behind a legacy of service and love that will never be forgotten.

Any donations in Pete’s memory may be made to the Arkona Lion’s Club, an organization close to his heart.

As per Pete’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

A Celebration of Pete’s Life will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025 from 2-5 pm at Arkona Fairways.
