SMITH, Dorothy Ilene Smith

Passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at the age of 92. Dorothy is survived by her children Bonny Foster (late Chester); Marlene (Ron) Crocker; David ( Kathy) Smith; by her grandchildren Derek Glover, Darryl (Beth) Glover, David Foster (Jessica Lunn), Kevin (Andrea) Foster, Dorothy (Kale) Fallis, Ruth Crocker, Stacy (late Craig) Chittenden, Jackie Bichette (Marina), Brandon Smith, and Holly Smith; by her many great grandchildren; by her siblings Donna (late Bruce) Glover, Audrey (Jim) Young, Marjorie (late Sam) McGill, and Mike (BettyAnn) Kilmer; and by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her daughters Donna (Gene) Glover, Joyce Smith and Sharon Smith; by her granddaughter Kathy Smith; by her sister Ruth (Harold) Beaulieu, and brother Larry Kilmer. Dorothy was born in St. Thomas to the late Ray and Nora Kilmer. She worked in nursing at Elgin Manor for many years.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2025 from 7:00 – 9:00 pm at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570). The funeral service will be held at the funeral on Monday, December 22, 2025 at 11:00 am. Visitation one hour prior to the service.

Interment in Cowal-McBride Cemetery.
