It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Russell Herman Smith of Simcoe, Ontario, who passed away on January 12, 2026, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Marguerite Smith and Fred Smith; his wife Shirley; his children, Shari Robb and Kevin; and his siblings, Gladys, Marjorie, Ken and Allen.

He is survived by: his children, Karen Soles Streef, Larry (Deb), Terry and Darryl; his grandchildren, Michelle, Melanie, Michael, Nieka, Jaidin, Jon, Tabitha, Brandon (Melanie), Brittanee (Mikinnen), Jordan, Devin, Candace, Jasper and Dakota; and his siblings, Verne and Phyllis Pollet.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Jason Smith Funeral Chapel (689 Norfolk St N, Simcoe, ON N3Y3R3). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 16th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
