Obituary of Margaret “Maggie” Smyth
Smyth, Margaret (“Maggie”) passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 11, 2025 at the age of 78.

Loving mother of Sean (Laura) Smyth and Shannon (Dan) Boersema. Proud grandmother of Hannah, Christian, Madelyn, and Spencer.

Predeceased by her parents, David and Jessie McCarthy, and her sister, Marie Eisenblaetter.

Maggie loved animals and gardening, cherished time with family and friends, and never turned down a good cup of tea. She will be fondly remembered for her warmth, kindness, and vibrant spirit.

The family wishes to send special thanks to the Niagara West Palliative Care team at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital and to Dr. Seamus Donaghy for their compassion and care.

A private family service will be held in Beamsville, Ontario.

For those wishing to honour Maggie’s memory, donations may be made to the Niagara SPCA and Humane Society or the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation.
