SNELGROVE, Anna Marie Snelgrove

With heavy hearts we grieve the passing of Marie at Lakeridge Oshawa Hospital on the morning of November 15th, 2025.

Wife of Albert Snelgrove for 38 years. Mother of Kelly McNenly (Brad), Jason Quenneville (Dawn), Mike Snelgrove, Elizabeth Peterson (deceased). Grandmother of Brianna Peterson, Cheyenne McNenly, Aaron McNenly, Cody Albert, Lauren Snelgrove, Dylan Snelgrove, Mia Snelgrove, Lindsey Holmes, JD Bink, James Bink. Great Grandmother to Michael Albert, Mason Albert and Delilah McNenly.

Marie was born in Oshawa to parents Anna Naydeene and Ken Hazelton. Marie married Guy Quenneville and they had two children, Kelly born in Newfoundland and Jason born in Kelowna BC. In 1987 Marie met and married Al Snelgrove and two more children were added to her family, Mike and Elizabeth Snelgrove.

Marie was a wonderful, kind, and caring mother to all the children. The feeling was mutual.

Marie loved to dance and party, she made friends everywhere she went, she loved going to the aquafit class at the Y and met many new friends there. The card parties and game nights will not be the same without her humour and wit. She will be missed by all.

Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, (905-721-1234) on Sunday, November 23rd, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. and on Monday, November 24th from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Service in the Chapel at 10:30 a.m.

Memorial donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Lung Association of Durham Region would be appreciated.
