SNOES, Rob Snoes

Little did we know the morning of September 5, 2025, that we would be saying goodbye. It is with deepest sorrow, we announce the unexpected passing of Rob Snoes, loving Husband, Dad, Grandpa, Great-Grandpa, and Friend at the young age of 71. Born on April 8, 1954 in Leamington, ON. Rob lived a life filled with love, laughter, and shenanigans. Following in his father’s footsteps, working as a skilled plumber whose dedication and hard work touched countless homes and families. Beyond his profession, he found joy in the outdoors, especially hunting, where he felt most at peace. At home he took immense pride in his yard and garden, always ensuring they were cared for with the same devotion he showed for those around him. Known for his strong will and stubborn streak, Rob lived a life on his own terms, with a steadfastness that those who loved him came to admire and respect. Above all, he was a devoted husband to Carolyn Wenzler, his best friend for 32 years, a proud and loving father to Shannon Paiva (Manny), Steve Snoes (Sarah), and Kimberly Snoes, the best step-father to Jenniffer Clifford (Daniel), and Nick Wenzler (Tricia). A proud, loving, and “silly” grand-father to Alexandria Snoes-Fonseca, Regan Rovere, Abby Paiva, Sophie Paiva, Lucy Snoes, Grayson Clifford, Ava Clifford,Wyatt Wenzler, and Tanner Wenzler, and cherished great-grandfather to Ray-Lynn Snoes-Augustine & Scarlette Augustine. Although an only child, Rob gained a large extended family of brother and sister-in-laws including Patrick Nicholson, Michelle & Steve Getty, Nannette & Ken Pearce and Melissa DeClerck. He will always remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him, including his special fur “Friend” Mojo. Rob is now reunited with his loving parents, Al (2011 ) and Fran (2025) Snoes, in-laws Howard Nicholson (2010), Patricia Nicholson (2022) & Step Father Sterling Gee (2015), and his beloved Tommy “Mr.Whiskers” (August 2025) the cat. He will be fondly remembered by his aunts and uncles including Stanley (Margaret) Balakowski, Cheryl (Don) Matheson, and Eddie (Julie) Bodayla and additional extended family and friends. Special mention to his best friend and best buddy, Rudy Spitse.
Visitation will take place at Reid Funeral Home, 14 Russell St, Leamington(519-326-2631) on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 from 5:00-8:00pm. Funeral service will be held at Reid Funeral Home on Thursday, September 11 at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at Greenhill Cemetery.
