SOROKO, Diane Obéline Soroko

She passed away on December 20, 2025. Born on April 1, 1951, in Timmins to Aurele and Yvonne Lafontaine (née Turgeon), Diane grew up in Timmins. Diane’s primary vocation was caring for her family, and she worked in positions that allowed her to express her creative talents and caring personality. Diane was well-read and had travelled extensively.

Diane is survived by her children, Jason Soroko and Kelly Soroko, as well as her brothers: Marcel (Helene) Lafontaine, Peter (Helen) Lafontaine, and Roger (Céline) Lafontaine. She is predeceased by her husband, John Soroko, and her parents. She cared for her predeceased parents-in-law Steve and Cecile Soroko and will be missed by the Soroko family, including her brothers-in-laws Bob (Marlene) and Mace (Reanne) Soroko. Diane will be fondly remembered by her cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

As per her request, cremation was held and a memorial service and celebration of life will be planned for spring 2026. In lieu of flowers, remembrance donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
