PONIKVAR, Stanislava “Stanka” (nee Kusljan) —  Age 94, of Toronto, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 27, 2015.

Born in Cerknica, Slovenia, beloved wife of the late Alojzi (Louis).

Stanka had a strong spirit and zest for life which she willingly shared with others.

She had a love of giving and volunteered her time helping those in need in the community and at Dom Lipa.

Loving mother to Stella (John Adamich), Louis (Majda), the late Alexander, John (Julie), Joseph and  Marko (Nancy).

Cherished grandmother of John, Martha, Steve, the late Tony, Jason, Jeffery, Renay, Eric, Alex and Jane, beloved great-grandmother to Johnny, Jordan, Justin, Joey, Jesse, Adriana, Richard, Emma, Gerrit, Zackery, Matthew, Sophie and Atticus. Aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Our Lady of Miraculous Medal, 739 Brown’s Line, at 11 a.m. with visitation starting at 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dom Lipa or “Canadian Food for Children”.
