With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Mark, who passed away peacefully on January 4, 2026, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, at 63 years of age. He leaves behind his beloved wife Maria of 37 years. Mark was the proud and devoted father of his daughter, Andrea. And was the cherished son of Roman and Tina Stankiewicz. Mark will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his family and friends in Canada, Poland and the US. Mark dedicated 39 years of service at Plastiglas in Ajax, where he was respected for his strong work ethic and commitment. A lifelong Toronto Maple Leafs fan and an avid supporter of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Mark also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing hockey in his younger years. Throughout his life, music was a constant passion – he loved playing his guitar and had a deep appreciation for music. Mark found his greatest joy in being at home, surrounded by his family, enjoying a Saturday morning coffee with Maria. He also shared a special bond with his beloved dog companion, Gus, who was by his side for 11 years. Mark’s kindness, loyalty, and love for his family will be forever remembered by all who knew him. Please join the family at Armstrong Funeral Home Limited, 124 King Street East, Oshawa for Visitation on Monday January 12th from 6pm to 8pm. Parish Prayers will be held at 8pm followed by family eulogies. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday January 13th at 11am at St. Hedwig’s Polish Catholic Church, 411 Olive Avenue, Oshawa. Followed by interment at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
