JAROSZ, Stella Kathleen (nee Gardynik)  –  It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, Stella, in the comfort of her home, on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at the age of 87.

Stella is happily reunited with her beloved husband of many years, John.

Much-loved mother of Mary Ann (Tim) Dunning, Kathy (Elliot), Michael and Teresa (Steve).

Cherished babcia of Amanda (Brad), Julie, Emma and Becca; and the proud great-babcia of Claire.

Predeceased by her parents, John and Anna; sister, Jean; and brother, John. Stella will be dearly missed by Tom. She will be held dear in the hearts of her family and friends.

The family would like to thank the compassionate staff at the Village of Humber Heights for their dedication and for going above and beyond. Stella was the great love of John’s life, her husband of 61 years. She was a truly dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, whose impact will be felt forever by her family, who loved her dearly.

As a young woman she was passionate about raising a family, and that love was evident until her last day.  She encouraged her kids to grow and learn, and taught us the value of discipline, organization, and hard work. All of this was passed down to her grandchildren because of her. 

Stella had a very special place in her heart for all of her son-in-law‘s, and even became true friends with Tim, during their weekly lunches and daily phone calls.  Every year Stella created a special memorable Christmas for her family.

Christmas brought her great joy that was infectious.  We will miss you very much Mom and you’ll be forever in our hearts. 

Resting at Newediuk Funeral Home, 2058 Kipling Avenue, Toronto, on Monday, June 5, 2023 from 3 to 5 p.m and 7 to 9 p.m.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at All Saints Catholic Church, 1415 Royal York Road, Toronto, on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Dorothy Ley Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
