STEVENS , Stacey Lynn Stevens
August 12, 1969 - August 13, 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Stacey Lynn Stevens, who died on August 13, 2025, at Sault Area Hospital, just one day after her 56th birthday, after losing her battle with cancer.
Beloved daughter of the late Marilynn and Keith Stevens, and cherished granddaughter of the late Betty Kline, Stacey was a light in the lives of everyone who knew her.
She shared an unbreakable bond with her aunts and uncles — more like that of a sister — with JoAnn Robinson (Bob), Jackie Kline (Dave), Tom Kline (Selby), Kim Kline, MaryKaye Karhi (Ed), the late Robert Chisholm (June), and the late John Chisholm. Stacey was a much-loved and cherished cousin to Jennifer Lockwood (Craig), Shawn Chisholm (Denise), Cindy Chisholm (Mike), Suzie Robinson (her daughter Ella), Cecil Kline (Thunder), Jesse Kline, Mary Kline, Kate Kline (Anthony), and Kalevi Karhi (Celina).
Her friendships ran just as deep as her family ties. Stacey considered Mitzi Chambers (Ian) her sister at heart, and held a special place in her heart for their daughters, Sierra Dewar (Brandon) and Jessica Stewart (Jessie). She will also be dearly missed by her close friends Tracie and Carrie, as well as her coworker Neill Malcolm (Lora), whom Stacey affectionately called “the brother she never had”.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Sault Area Hospital, the compassionate staff of 3B, the Cancer Clinic, WOC nurse Brigitte, and Bayshore nurse Cathy for their exceptional support, care, and kindness during Stacey’s journey. We are deeply grateful to everyone who supported Stacey and our family during this most difficult time.
A private family gathering will be held with a graveside service. Donations to Tracy’s Dream would be greatly appreciated by the family.
“Cancer may have taken Stacey from our sight, but it will never take her from our hearts. She fought with incredible strength, courage, and grace. To say she will be missed is an understatement — our family will never be the same without her.”
