
It is with saddened hearts that the family of Russell Charles Struck announces his passing after a courageous fight with Pulmonary Fibrosis and Cancer on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at the age of 79. Russell is survived by his loving wife, June L. Struck, of 57 years. Loving father to Tammy Churchill and Rusty (Ilene) Struck. Proud Papa to James, Tyler (Cheyenne), Owen, Logan, and Payton.
Dear brother to Pat Mills, Jack (Sheila) Struck, Fran (Peter) Clarke, and Dorothy (Terry) Harapiak. Brother-in-law to Robert (Eleanor) Williams and Garry Wagner. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Elgin and Amelia Struck, mother and father-in-law Bill and Irene Williams, son-in-law Ray Churchill, sisters Barb (Bill) Kilbreath, Nancy (Charlie) Roberts, brother-in-law Murray Mills, Marcel Gauthier, and sister-in-law Sharron Wagner.
Russell was a dedicated employee at Ontario Hydro, Lambton Generating Station in Courtright, Ontario. He proudly served the St. Clair Township Fire Department, Brigden Station, for 50 years. Known for his passion for building, restoring, and showing vintage cars, Russell’s pride and joy was his 1923 T-Bucket, which earned him many awards, including “Best Appearing Custom T” at CANATS 2003 in Windsor.
Special thanks to the Palliative Team and Bayshore, especially nurse Brittany, for their care and compassion during Russell’s final days.
Visitation will be held at Steadman Brothers Funeral Chapels, Brigden, on Friday, January 3, 2025, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with interment of ashes to follow at Black Creek Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lambton Cat Rescue or a charity of your choice. “We thank you for your COURAGE, DEDICATION, and LOVE. We will miss you!”
