SUDDARD, Albert George Suddard

Peacefully passed away on February 12, 2026 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, nine days shy of his 102nd birthday.

Beloved husband of the late Peggy. Loving father of Jim (Therese), Ron (the late Debbie), and Priscilla. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer, Julia, Tori, and Mandy. Great-grandfather of Ashley, Amanda, Kyle, Talia, Saroya, Dondre, Malachi, A.J., and Chance and great-great-grandfather of Iridessa, Ilanora, and Ranger. Predeceased by his siblings Bob, Bud, Mel, and Rena.

Albert will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Albert was a proud WWII veteran, he served his country with honour as a Private, carrying with him the quiet strength, resilience, and humility that would shape the rest of his life.

Following his service, he became a respected business owner in Oshawa, operating his beloved bicycle and locksmith store. He was a longtime and devoted member of Legion Branch 43, maintaining his membership for over 70 years. The Legion was a place of camaraderie, friendship, and remembrance that held deep meaning for him.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. at Armstrong Funeral Home (124 King St. E., Oshawa). A Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel. Interment to follow at Thornton Cemetery.
