SUMNER, Wendy Sumner

It is with great sadness that the family of Wendy Sumner announce her sudden passing on Wednesday, February 4th, 2026 at the age of 73. She was predeceased by her beloved partner, Les Narday, and her sister, Laurel. Wendy will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her sons, Adrian Dion (Amanda) and Andrew Dion (Tina). She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Kyle, Kevin (Shelby), Caitlyn, Alyssa, Kennedy, Linden (Julia), and Nolan, each of whom brought her immense joy. Wendy is also survived by her brother Chris (Marianne), her cousin Barb (Mark), and numerous extended family members and dear friends whose lives she touched in meaningful ways.

She will be remembered for her love of family, her caring heart, and the warmth she brought into every room. Her presence, laughter, and quiet strength will be missed more than words can express, but her memory will live on in the stories shared and the love she gave so freely.

A Celebration of Life will be held at McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown, Ontario, on February 15, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of Wendy to your local pet rescue or animal shelter would be appreciated by the family.
