GRAY, Susan Joy (nee MALLINS)  –

1946 – 2024

Tuesday, March 12, 2024, passed away peacefully in her beloved husband, Jimmy’s, arms, at her home in Thornhill, Ontario.

Joy was a devoted mother to her 3 children, Allan, Dina and her husband, Peter, and deceased son, Sean.

She was a very proud Bubby to her grandchildren, Erika, Amber, Tonje, Riley, Hunter and Tallulah. Joy was predeceased by her parents, Eddie and Sophie Mallins.

She was a loving and caring sister to her brother, Stephen Mallins/Barb, and her sister Heather Mallins/Cameron.

She is also survived by her nieces, Vanessa Gray, Elyse Mallins; and nephew; Les/Nancy Mallins.

Joy fought hard during her 8+ year battle with COPD, with the love of her life, Jimmy, right by her side, every breath she took.

This was a love story that lasted over 60 years! She will be missed immensely by all her loving friends and family.

Funeral will be on Monday, March 18th, at 1 p.m., at York Funeral Centre (160 Beecroft Road, Toronto), in the sanctuary. There will be no burial. Shiva will be at 7460 Bathurst St., Thornhill, in the party room, on Monday, after the funeral ceremony, and Tuesday from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., and 6-8:30 p.m., concluding.
