SZEMBORN , Jerzy W. “Jerry” Szemborn

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jerzy “Jerry” Szemborn on July 14, 2025, just days before his 78th birthday.

Predeceased by his beloved parents Leon and Irene (née Grzesik) Szemborn, Jerry is lovingly remembered by his brother Henry Szemborn, nieces Kate and Emily, and their children Nick and Becca. He will be dearly missed by his many friends at the Legion, where he spent countless meaningful hours in good company.

Jerry’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the nursing staff at the Cornwall Community Hospital for their exceptional care, compassion, and support during Jerry’s final days.

As per Jerry’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A public visitation will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on July 22nd, 2025, from 7 pm – 9 pm, and interment will be at St. Columban’s Cemetery alongside his parents, at a later date.
