It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Star Lyn Tanton on August 7, 2025. Star was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth and adventurous spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.

Star is survived by her devoted husband, Joe Tanton; her daughters, Crystal Tanton (Adel Alhaj Hussein) and Jasmine Dortmans (Kyle Dortmans); and her cherished grandchildren: Mohammad, Fatema, Humzah, and Eve. Her love for her grandchildren was boundless, and she found immense joy in spending time with them.

She was also deeply connected to her siblings—Tina Sulser, Vicki Denton, and Jay Hubbard—who will remember her for her laughter, kindness, and unwavering support.

Star had a passion for the outdoors and a love of travel, often finding peace and happiness in nature and in the company of her family, especially during visits to loved ones in the United States. Her life was marked by generosity, curiosity, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of family and connection.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved and those who loved her. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, adventure, and devotion to family.
