TARTARO, Maria Pia Tartaro
March 15, 1952 - November 10, 2025
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our cherished Maria, who left us peacefully at home, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on 1952-03-15 in Custonaci, Sicily, she immigrated to Canada at the age of thirteen, embracing a new life and future. She was a beacon of strength and kindness in her familyโs lives.
She leaves behind her devoted husband, Gino, her loving sons Piero and Ezio, her daughter Angie, her daughter-in-law Danielle, and five cherished grandchildren: Victoria, Thomas, Julia, Olivia, and Vienna. She is also survived by her loving sister Angela (Andrea) and two brothers, Vince (Anna) and Dino (Alaina).
As a wife, mother, and nonna, she was unwaveringly strong, selfless, and sincere. Even in her final days, she prioritized the well-being and comfort of those around her above her own needs. Her grace and resilience provided her family with peace and closure through a profoundly difficult time.
Her love, kindness, and unyielding spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.ย And in every day, we will think of you, feel your presence, and know that you are in a better place, reunited with your beloved mother Francesca and father Pietro whom you missed so much.
Rest peacefully, Maria.ย You have left us with hearts full of love and lives forever enriched by your extraordinary personality.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, November 13, 2025 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor, 519-969-5841.
