MCRAE, James Taylor McRae

With deep sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Jim McRae on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Jim was a devoted and loving husband to Bev, a proud father to Alison (Tyler) and Scott (Erin), and a cherished grandfather to Nathan and Max Bolland, who were the light of his life. Jim is also lovingly remembered by his sister, Sheila Richardson, as well as many extended family members and dear friends. His family was always his greatest priority, and he took immense pride in supporting his children and grandchildren in everything they pursued.

A true family man, Jim found his greatest joy in time spent with those he loved. He had a lifelong passion for fishing and the outdoors, often finding peace by the water.

Jim will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, quiet strength, and unwavering love for his family and friends. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported Jim throughout his journey.

A Celebration of Life will be held at McINTOSH-ANDERSON-KELLAM FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 12 p.m., with visitation from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m.

Donations in memory of Jim may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or SickKids Foundation and would be greatly appreciated.
