It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Eleanor Jean Thompson, who left us peacefully at Cornwall Community Hospital on Saturday, July 12th, 2025, with her family at her bedside.

Eleanor was the beloved daughter of the late George and Jean (née Lalonde) Storey, and a cherished mother to Stephen Thompson, Sheryl Plaku (Jon), and Michael Thompson (Pamela). She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Scott Thompson, Eric Thompson (Judy), and will be missed by their mom Rose, Tyler Jansen (Nadi), Shelby Lee (Skylar), Taylor Mills-Thompson (Sarah), Jaymne Mills-Thompson, and Tianna Mills-Thompson (Riece), and great-grandmother to Wyatt, Abigail, and Elliot.

She will be missed by her brother Keith (Pam), and was predeceased by her brothers Bill and Earl and her sister Bev.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the second-floor nursing staff of the JMP for their exceptional care, compassion, and support during Eleanor’s final days.

As per Eleanor’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and interment will be at Martin Anglican Cemetery, Avonmore, at a later date.
