THOMSON, John Charles Thomson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Charles Thomson on September 6, 2025, at the age of 64.

Beloved husband of 45 years to Irene Thompson, John was a devoted father to Alicia (Greg), Ashley, Amy (Conrad), the late Justin (Summer), Jr (Tricia), and Amanda. He was a proud and loving papa to 23 grandchildren, with another on the way in 2026, 8 great-grandchildren, and a cherished father figure to three of his grandchildren: Aiden, Charleigh, and Dominic.

John had 9 siblings, and was predeceased by his parents, Rena and Earl Thompson, his son Justin, and his brother Larry Thompson, and his sister Betty Ann Ferreira.

A man of many passions, John was an avid hunter, a lover of antique cars, and had a deep affection for animals, road trips, and most of all, family, who meant everything to him. His warmth, humor, and generous spirit touched the lives of all who knew him. John would do anything for his family and friends.

As per John’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in his memory.
