TIBURCIO, Maria Ana de Sousa Tiburcio

Passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, at the age of 85.

Maria Ana was the beloved wife of Joao Francisco Tiburcio, with whom she shared a beautiful journey of 60 years. Maria Ana’s role as a wife was paralleled only by her devotion as a mother and grandmother, nurturing her family with the same warmth and tenderness that characterized her entire being.

Maria Ana’s love for nature was profound, and she found great solace in the beauty of the world around her. Her passion for birds was particularly notable, as she spent countless hours admiring their freedom and elegance.

A private funeral was held. Maria Ana has been laid to rest at Parklawn Cemetery, Cambridge. In lieu of flowers, donations made to Diabetes Canada in Maria’s memory would be greatly appreciated by the family.
