TIERNEY, James Ellis Thomas Tierney

passed away suddenly at home on December 1, 2025.

Jamie was a kind and gentle soul with an unforgettable sense of humour. A talented athlete and avid golfer, he brought passion and dedication to everything and everyone he loved. He had a gift for making people feel seen, cared for, supported and he never hesitated to help anyone who needed him. A devoted Liverpool fan for life, he proudly stood by the club’s iconic words, “You’ll Never Walk Alone.”

He is lovingly remembered by his mother Caraline, father David, his sisters Gemma and Olivia (and her husband, Shawn) and his nephews Owen and Evan, who adored him deeply. Jamie will also be dearly missed by his Aunt Andrea, Uncle Kenny, his Godparents Angela and Rich, his cousins, extended family, and his loyal dog, Sydney, his constant companion.

A private family service will be held at Oshawa Funeral Home on Saturday, December 13th.

Jamie was an advocate for mental health awareness, always encouraging openness, compassion and support for those struggling.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Jamie’s name to Canadian Mental Health Association Durham, an organization providing essential mental health services and support to individuals and families in the Oshawa and Durham Region.

Jamie’s presence brought light into the lives of those around him and his memory will continue to be cherished by family, friends and all who knew him.
