TIMMONEY, Brian Timmoney – Obituary

TIMMONEY, Brian  –  Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Innisfree House on Friday October 9, 2015 in his 89th year.

Loving husband of Isabella Josephine (nee McTaggart) for 64 years.

Beloved father of Anne Miller, and Rita Beke (James), and Brian Timmoney (Jessica) and Jeanette Hardam.  Proud Grandfather of Jason Miller, Teresa Goguen, Alyssa Timmoney, Aiden Timmoney, Jenny Hardam and Andrew Hardam.  Great Grandfather of  Bella Hardam and Teresa Rose Hardam.

He immigrated to Canada from Alexandria Scotland in March 1956 and lived in Galt thereafter.  Brian was a colour matcher at the Canadian General Tower for 35 years and a 35 year member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 121.  He served proudly in the British Army during WWII from Germany.  In his younger days he was a featherweight boxing champion.  Brian was a founding member of the Galt Eagles Soccer Club. He was a long standing member of the Knights of Columbus.   Brian loved to sing and was a member of the Musical Legends and was an active member of the Seniors Choir. He was a long time parishioner of St. Gregory’s Roman Catholic Church. Brian’s great kindness and generosity will be sadly missed. 

As per his wishes cremation has taken place and a Funeral Mass will be held at St. Gregory’s Roman Catholic Church, 10 St.        Gregory’s Drive ., Cambridge on October 15, 2015 at 11 a.m.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the caring staff at Innisfree House.  If desired, donations in memory of        Brian can be made to Innisfree House.
