Loving Mother, devoted Grandmother and faithful Sister,

Johanna Adele de Boer, nee VanderKaay, passed peacefully at the cottage on October 11, 2015 at the age of 83 surrounded by family. Johanna was born in Velsen, the Netherlands, on March 29, 1932.

Johanna is preceded in death by her lifelong friend and husband Cornelis. Johanna is survived by her loving children Ineke Zigrossi (Joseph), Rob (Lynn), Ellen, Ken (Elaine) and Michael (Marie).

She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Ryan, Blake, Julia, Derek, Kate (Ryan), Jessa (Dan), Jacob and Nicole.

Johanna will be sadly missed by her sister Erna Lundgren (Sten, niece Karina, nephews Kevin and Todd and their families).

A passionate lover of animals, she was a long- standing volunteer with the Burlington Humane Society.

She also donated her time to and was an avid supporter of the Royal Botanical Gardens.

As per Johanna’s wishes, a private family interment is being held.

In lieu of flowers, it was Johanna’s wish that donations be made to the Burlington Humane Society.
