TOOP, Reta Troop

In her 70th year, Reta Marlene Troop passed away peacefully at home with loved ones by her side on Wednesday morning, November 19, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Ross Michael Troop; mother of Michael Troop and his wife Meagan (nee Irvine) and Philip Troop and his wife Katherine Dorland, and much loved ‘Gram’ of Norman, Maren, Gavin, and Evelyn.

Deeply devoted to family and friends, Reta was cherished by her parents Elton (predeceased) and Marie Hewitt; her siblings the late Dianne Raby and her husband Brian, Norene Allan and husband Robert, Daniel Hewitt and his wife Patti, and the late Philip Hewitt and his wife Patti. She will also be missed by her in-laws, the late William and Jean Troop, Brian Troop, Lorraine Handy and her husband Ted, and Warren Troop. Reta will be fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, extended family, and a wide circle of friends.

Reta lived her life with joy, energy, and playfulness. She had a natural ability to connect with others and to embrace the bright side of life, living each day to its fullest. She leaves a legacy of kindness, commitment, humour, and love that will enrich those who knew her for years to come.
