With heavy hearts the family of Ronald James “Ron” Townley announces that he passed away peacefully at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital on Saturday morning, September 6, 2025, at the age of 79. Beloved husband of the late Karen Anne Townley (nee McCaffrey) (March 29, 2025), with whom he shared 34 wonderful years of love and companionship. Proud father of Nigel Townley. Cherished grandfather of Willow Anne. Dear brother of William “Dick” Townley (Carolyn), Jacqueline Bertrand (late Edward), Joan Neill (late Milton), Donna Charbonneau (late Oscar), Joe Townley (Helen) and John Townley (Judy). Dear brother-in-law of Jim McCaffrey (Gwen) and Arlene Gillan (Frank). Missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister Rosemary Popkie (late Howard) and brother Bruce Townley. Son of the late Reginald James and Martha Mary (Recchenberg) Townley. Raised with a strong work ethic, Ron dedicated his career to Weavexx, where he excelled in maintenance and various roles, always bringing reliability, skill, and a positive spirit that supported his colleagues and ensured smooth operations throughout his tenure. Ron’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street N., Arnprior. Friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Friday September 12, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 12:30 p.m. in the Boyce Chapel. Interment Arnprior Malloch Road Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Boyce Reception Centre. In memory of Ron, a donation may be made to the Arnprior Regional Health Foundation.
