TRACHSELL, Ronald James Trachsell
September 20, 1938 - September 28, 2025
It is with broken hearts and overflowing amounts of tears that we announce the passing of Ronald James Trachsell. Ron is predeceased by his wife (Sheila Mary Trachsell) and his mother and father (Robert & Gladys Trachsell ) of Shakespeare Ontario. He is survived by his children, Robert Trachsell (Manuela), Kelly Trachsell, Susanne Hawley (Kevin) and Patricia Cochram. He was an outstanding Father, Grandfather and Great grandfather.
He was an exceptional husband to Sheila, whom he loved and adored with all of his heart. Ron and Sheila were inseparable. His heart shattered at her loss, but he pushed on to be sure we were all ok because that is the kind of man he was. Ron never put himself first. The comfort and care of his family was his number one priority.
Ron was an extremely humble, trustworthy, peaceful and compassionate man. If your heart was breaking or your mind was troubled, so was his. He wanted everyone to be happy and at peace. Ron and Sheila were successful owners/operators of many successful businesses throughout the years. Even after retiring numerous times, Ron just couldn’t sit still. He always had to be doing something productive. Always lending a helping hand to those in need or feeding abandoned animals or sweeping a floor.
Birds perching on him while he hand fed them, squirrels coming to him, abandoned cats and kittens relying on him to care for them every day will always be a memory of what a selfless, caring man he was.
He was an extremely particular and persistent man. Everything had to be done on his timeline. Meaning Right Now. His stunning blue eyes reflected his compassion and genuine concern for everyone’s well- being.
His resemblance to Elvis was uncanny. He would get a chuckle when people would approach him with the “did anyone ever tell you, you look like Elvis “question. His sense of humour will always be remembered. His smile will never be forgotten. His hugs just made everything better. Ron was a powerful man in every aspect of his life. He had a heart of gold, he had the strength of a warrior, he had the knowledge of a scholar.
He never looked down on anyone or anything. Never ever thought he was better than anyone. But he was. He was our dad. He was our strength, our love, our hearts, our guidance. Phone calls with dad have been forever silenced. Coffee in cups with dad will remain forever empty. Time spent with dad has been forever ended.
Our comfort lies in knowing he is with our mom and they are together forever with our Father in Heaven. His burden of care is now over and he is in his absolute glory now. Our comfort lies in knowing our Father in Heaven now cares for his every need, want and desire.
Our comfort lies in knowing our mom was waiting with her arms open wide and they are both together in eternal happiness.
