TRAVIS, Elizabeth Gail Lizzie Travis

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Elizabeth (Lizzie) Gail Travis, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and community pillar. Lizzie touched countless lives with her warmth, generosity, and unwavering strength. She passed peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and resilience.

She will be deeply missed by her cherished children: Laurence (Larissa), Chantelle (Will), Chenay (Daniel), Lonnie Jr., and Ava, as well as her adored grandchildren: Tori, Lanay, Leah, Cali, and Noah.
Lizzie was one of a large and loving family. She is survived by her siblings: Jim (Suzanne), Willie, Dave (Sue), Victoria, Gordon (Annie), Steven (Cynthia), Terry, Colleen, Edesse (George), Anthony, Micheal (Donna), Sandy (Chris), and Telise. She was predeceased by her siblings: Alan, Florence, Willis, and Lonnie, and by her dear parents, Leslie and Louise.

She leaves behind a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins who will forever hold her memory close. She shared an especially close bond with Lisa, Megan, and Tesha, and her lifelong best friends Fawny and Tamika.

Lizzie was a beacon of hope and compassion in the St. Joseph community, where she selflessly dedicated her time as a community worker. She ran cooking programs, computer classes, and food co-ops — always finding ways to uplift those around her and provide support where it was most needed.

A special thank you and heartfelt shout-out to all her wonderful brothers and sisters who stood by her side through everything — always answering her call and lifting her up with love.
In honor of Elizabeth Travis — “There is only one you.”

You were here. You made your mark. You filled hearts with love and strength that will never fade.
We love you forever.
